Distinctive Shoes must be notified by email within 1 business day if you are not satisfied with your item. Items must be stamped with a shipping label within 7 business days for return and exchange.
Legally a service charge of $5 can and will be applied to exchanges when the buyer is at fault (changed mind ,to replace for something else or ordered the wrong size. If the exchange is the fault of the seller (damaged, not as described, the wrong item sent) legally we can not charge a return fee.
Refunds (if applicable) otherwise we do not offer refunds
Once your order has been accepted no refund will be given during the time of processing your order. We will only accept the item for a refund after you have received the item and the item has been delivered damaged and upon approval only. All items are inspected through our paid sourcing agent, no item will be shipped out without a certified inspection.
Refunds on custom made items will only be given at the discretion of the supplier. Distinctive Shoes will require a 10%processing fee on all custom made items.
Returns on handmade items are processed through the supplier. (Shoemaker). The shipment process can take up to 14 days . The customer must notify Distinctive Shoes by email within 1 business if you are not satisfied with your item.

Refunds will not be given based on delayed shipping. Once you place your order and the order is processed and shipped, Distinctive Shoes will not be responsible for the delays of the carrier. if the tracking shows it has been shipped, there will l be no refunds unless the item is lost. Distinctive Shoes will keep track of all packages. No refunds will be given on items that are marked delivered. All orders are electronically tracked.
If you request a refund and your order is a handmade (custom) item and you no longer want to wait for the completion of your item , and the supplier is on time with production, Distinctive Shoes will only grant a refund at the discretion of the supplier with a 50% processing fee. This fee will cover the supplies for production on the item you have chosen to no longer wait for.
In conclusion: If a refund is granted on a handmade item PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE PROCESS CAN TAKE UP TO 30-45 DAYS BEFORE THE REFUND IS ISSUED. THE REFUND WILL BE FORWARDED TO DISTINCTIVE SHOES DIRECTLY FROM THE SUPPLIER BEFORE BEING ISSUED TO THE CUSTOMER. FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR CUSTOMERS THE SUPPLIERS DOES NOT HAVE ACCESS TO ANY CUSTOMER ACCOUNTS.
Refunds are processed only on Wednesdays and will be applied to the source that was used to purchase. Please be advised that after your refund has been issued please allow 7 -10 business days for funds to appear in your account.
1. If your item arrived damaged by the carrier.
2. If you are not completely satisfied a store credit will be given
3. The supplier no longer carry the material of your selected Handmade item
4. If you pay through a 3 party (AfterPay) and the item is out of stock by the time your 2-3 day processing ends

Please note that Distinctive Shoes will not process any orders unless the purchase has been verified through our financial institution. If the payment has not been posted within 2 business days you will be notified and your order will not be processed until the payment has been confirmed.
